Dry Skin Saviours!

I'm just one of the unlucky people to have extremely dry skin... it sounds like I'm like just complaining but its one of the worst complexion types to have when you're looking for foundation!
If a brand specialises in foundations for a particular skin type, it'll more than likely be "combination/oily skin" and I think, fair enough, but there is no excuse not to have a version specifically for dry skin... because there's nothing worse than having an almost grainy looking face due to the formula disagreeing with my skin...
But finally after searching and searching I've come across my saviour in the form of Revlon's Colourstay Makeup for Normal / Dry Skin and my shade was 180 - Sand Beige. Here's a few pictures and possibly a quick swatch on my skin -

So yes, its a liquid which is lovely when I put it on my skin and has such a good coverage - and amazingly my skin looked flawless! (minus spots obviously but I have concealer for that hehe) I'd 100% recommend it and my sister's already bought one for herself so its definitely worthwhile.
The only tiny complaint I have (I'm just being nitpicky) is that there's no dispenser as such? if you know what I mean, like you have to pour it onto your hand or whatever and it leaves a mess in the lid, but its worth it!

If you have dry skin then I'd rush out to buy it fast! I bought it in Boots for £12.49. (half the price of my old Clarins one)

And on a further dry skin note, I bought the Garnier Skin Naturals Moisture Match moisturiser a while ago for dry to very dry skin just to see what it was like and I was very pleasantly surprised! Its now my new day moisturiser; i.e I put it on before applying make up :) its velvet-y in texture and absorbs quite fast :)

I bought it on special offer price (I think?) for £3.99 in Superdrug. I'll be buying another one soon!

Feeling Fierce!

When I was out shopping I couldn't resist going into Pull and Bear... They've really upped their game in my eyes! The item I've tried on is a lion print sweatshirt and I had to tuck it into my shorts as they're quite high waisted - but even so I thought it looked pretty good :)

The material is a teeny bit see-through - so I'd advise a bandeau / dark coloured vest top underneath, but its still surprisingly cosy! Regretting not buying it...

What are your wardrobe essentials? Do you like Pull and Bear?

A Little Splurge...

So, I've neglected this blog for a while... Time to update!

On Saturday I went shopping (surprise there) and finally splurged on my first ever Benefit product!

(pictured: Revlon Just Bitten Balmstain in Cherish - so yummy on the lips and looks great too!)

I had such a lovely experience with the counter lady (whatever you call them) and after asking to get her to test the product on me, she seemed all too happy to get me onto a wee barstool style seat. The product was "High Beam" - a lovely satin pink highlighter and she showed me where/how to apply it. She also thought I'd had my eyebrows shaped somewhere (I just tweeze strays) and said they were a lovely shape - I felt so proud hehe :)
Back to the product... once she applied it onto the apples of my cheeks, a little on my chin and bridge of my nose I could tell I was gonna buy it! At £18.50 its justifiable when you think how long it'll last! I forgot to take a photo of me wearing it :( but they gave me a sample moisturiser too, which feels great on my skin but doesn't last as long as I thought it might - but then again I have really dry skin!

lust-have!

I'm thinking Topshop is trying its hardest to make my debit card and I go weak at the knees..

To buy or not to buy?
That's my dilemma. Should I invest £30 into these acid wash beauties - I mean I can carry them all the way to Summer because I could wear them with or without tights and due to the style they'll go with most tops!

They're just so beautiful.

On another lustful note.. check out this Pull&Bear tshirt - IT HAS AUDREY HEPBURN ON IT!

You have no idea how long I've been craving a Hepburn printed tee, well here it is on the website.. I need this so much.

 wowowow ❤

The time me and my best mate swapped clothes hehe, I love hers even though I don't suit the leather jacket :(

She's my style inspo right now because she really works the soft grunge style!

What's your favourite style? who inspires you?

Leather jacket - Topshop
White peace tee - Topshop
Black shorts - Topshop

What she's wearing (on the left) :

sale shopping spree!

picked this army jacket up in the Christmas sales (which I usually despise with a passion) in Republic!

I absolutely adore the prominent silver metal studs on the shoulders, they just bring the jacket right up to soft grunge for me. the over-sized fit (may be my own fault, usually size 6/8 but I got a 10) makes it extra cosy!
army jacket - Republic, was £50, bought at £25
